Tucker Carlson is an award-winning American journalist, political commentator, and television personality. He was born on May 16, 1969, in San Francisco, California, and grew up in La Jolla, California.

After graduating from Trinity College with a degree in history, Carlson began his journalism career as a fact-checker for Policy Review, a conservative journal. He later worked as a reporter for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and as a staff writer for several conservative magazines, including The Weekly Standard.

In the 2000s, Carlson transitioned to television news. He co-hosted CNN’s “Crossfire” and hosted his own show on MSNBC called “Tucker.” In 2009, he co-founded The Daily Caller, a conservative news website. He served as its editor-in-chief until 2016 when he left to focus on his TV career.

Carlson is best known for hosting “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Fox News from 2016 to 2021. The show, which aired during prime time, quickly became a ratings hit, and Carlson became one of the most recognizable faces in American media.

Tucker Carlson has received several awards throughout his career. One notable award he received was the William F. Buckley Jr. Award for Media Excellence from the Media Research Center in 2018. The award recognizes individuals who have “demonstrated exceptional courage and foresight in advancing the conservative movement.”

Throughout his career, Carlson has gained a reputation for his controversial commentary and conservative viewpoints on topics such as immigration, race relations, and the media. He has been praised by many for his willingness to challenge the status quo and speak his mind, while also drawing criticism for promoting conspiracy theories and misinformation.
